TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  9 months; Beginning School Year 26-27 and for future terms

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. Must Pass Fingerprint Check
  2. Must Pass Physical Capabilities Test
  3. High School diploma or equivalent
  4. One of the following:

          60 College Credit hours; or

          Associates Degree or Higher; or

          Missouri Para Pro Assessment Passing Score (before 9/23/13) per DESE 6/22; or

          Missouri Para Pro Assessment Passing Score (after 9/23/13) per DESE 6/22; or

          Completed Missouri’s 20 Hour online substitute training program and obtain substitute certification

  1. Knowledge of basic subjects taught in schools, including math, grammar, spelling, language and reading
  2. Basic instructional methods and techniques
  3. Correct usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
  4. Oral and written communication skills
  5. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
  6. Participate in training activities as required by the District

 

JOB SUMMARY

The ISS/Recovery Room Assistant will work within assigned classroom with responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of behavior students by assisting in implementation of plans for instruction, monitoring student behavior and providing information to appropriate school personnel.  The ISS/Recovery Room Assistant will assist with data collection and analysis.
