- Must Pass Fingerprint Check
- Associates degree in technology preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of technology experience preferred
- Certifications in Systems, Networking, Mobile Device Management a plus
- Communicates effectively with all staff, students and community

- Maintains accurate records and filing systems for accountability and audit purposes

JOB SUMMARY
The District Technology Specialist will provide support for all computer software and hardware issues, installing and repairing equipment thereby supporting the District in achieving its educational goals at the Middle School.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Technology Specialist will:
- Communicate orally and in writing with a variety of personnel (i.e. end users, technology staff, administrators, etc.) for the purpose of providing information, direction and support throughout the District at multiple locations.
- Troubleshoot and provide timely assistance for user issues with technology that have been escalated. Coordinate with higher levels in the Technology Department and escalate Help Desk tickets as needed.
- Maintains a variety of files and/or records (i.e. security access, licenses, Help Desk tickets, software use, building technology equipment, etc.) for the purpose of providing reference and audity trails.
- Create, develop, document, analyze, and test computer deployment methods for staff and students. Consult with end users over process and modify process to create a seamless environment.
- Installs and maintains District technology hardware (i.e. desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, sired/wireless network equipment, etc.)
- Supervise helpdesk students, instruct and prep in procedures to maintain a productive helpdesk.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate to customers with different proficiency levels in technology.
- Have in-depth knowledge in device deployment using Imaging Solutions and MDM solutions for Mac OS, iOS, Windows OS.
- Have in-depth knowledge of technology and its successful integration into the teaching and learning process.
- Maintain confidentiality as required by law.
- Models positive behavior for students (i.e. inter-personal communication, processes, social interactions, etc.) for the purpose of providing educational and life skills training.
- Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior, speech, dress and appropriate professional manner for the work setting.
- Demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills.
- Adhere to good safety practices.
- Ability to understand and adhere to all District rules, regulations and policies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- stand, walk, sit and talk/hear;
- occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;
- occasionally push, pull or lift up to 90 lbs;
- occasionally climb ladders;
- access equipment and cabling stored in tight spaces and
- be able to see, including close, distance and depth perception.
