TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  9 months with option to help with summer school

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Current nurse licensing in the State of Missouri (RN or LPN)
  2. Background clearance results must be satisfactory to the District
  3. Current CPR/AED and First-Aid Certification
  4. Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in the methods, techniques and procedures used in nursing practice.
  5. Ability to work with students, staff and general public in a diplomatic, friendly and efficient manner
  6. Desire to work with children/adolescents in the school setting
  7. Ability to work in emergency situations in a calm manner
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of the School Nurse is to provide health care services meeting the individual health needs of students; incorporating health care plans directed by physicians; complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students.
