POSITION CLASSIFICATION:  Support

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  9 months

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associates or Bachelors within the field of Communicative Disorders
  2. Valid professional license as an SLPA in the state of Missouri, or the ability to obtain upon hire
  3. Minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent
  4. Solid understanding of speech and language development
  5. Knowledge of learning problems of students with special education needs
  6. Knowledge of student behavior management techniques and strategies
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The position of Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) was established for the purpose(s) of conducting various tasks/treatment interventions to assist students with speech and language disorders, under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
