TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   Subbing as needed for the school year term, 9 months, throughout the District

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Current nurse licensing in the State of Missouri (RN or LPN)
2. Background clearance results must be satisfactory to the District
3. Current CPR/AED and First-Aid Certification
4. Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in the methods, techniques and procedures used in nursing practice.
5. Ability to work with students, staff and general public in a diplomatic, friendly and efficient manner
6. Desire to work with children/adolescents in the school setting
7. Ability to work in emergency situations in a calm manner
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of the Sub School Nurse is to provide health care services meeting the individual health needs of students; incorporating health care plans directed by physicians; complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students.
